August GMM / Virtual Talk Story Highlights

Quote from the Avengers: Infinity War: “The hardest choices requires the strongest will.” Not everything may go as perfect as planned. Especially with the rising cases in Covid. The key is to have a strong vision and a reasonable goal. Overcome challenges by focusing on the end result. RPJ would like to extend our great appreciation to @filipinojuniorchamber @honoluluchinesejaycees @hjjccinsta and @jcikhumalo for attending. Please welcome Selina Wong as our new 2021 RPJ Board member.

July GMM/ Virtual Talk Story

This past Wednesday on July 28, 2021, RPJ held our Membership Meeting on Zoom. I am grateful for the other chapters who offered some advice for our upcoming events. Secondly, we had a great topic Discussion on Core Values. It is the source of that person’s belief and the drive of that person’s character. Whether you are in business, have religious beliefs, or have any positive drive that gives you the motives to be the best person you can be. You do have great leadership developing in you. Thank you to Filipino Junior Chamber, Hawaii Kai Jaycees, and Honolulu Chinese Jaycees for attending. #corevalues #positivechange #leadership #jci #jciusa #jcihawaii #rpjrocks #buildconnectexpand

On a chill Sunday morning at Ke Kilohana on Ward, 2019 and 2020-elect RPJ board members, along with other chapter members said aloha to 2019 at RPJ’s last general membership meeting (GMM) of the year. Breakfast was catered by Pancakes and Waffles, and mimosas were served up by outgoing Chapter President Kevan Mau.

There was also a game of Musical Reindeer (you have to see it to believe it) won by 2020 Sports Director Travis Oshiro. The holiday grab bag followed, where members selected gifts based on their finish in the Reindeer game.

2019 JCI Hawaii President Nhut Pham was the guest speaker, and he congratulated RPJ on a good year and thanked the chapter for hosting the Year-End Convention. He also spoke about the wealth of experiences he gained leading JCI Hawaii in 2019.
