What is a jaycee senator?
Per JCI International, members who have demonstrated displayed exemplary dedication to the JCI Mission can earn the lifetime honor of being a jaycee senator. RPJ’s Senators provide resources and instruction to RPJ’s Board of Directors.
Deputy National President
Nathan Keolaokalani Martin is a proud member of the Rising Phoenix Jaycees
(RPJ) and JCI Hawaii. I was first introduced to JCI in 2006, when I started playing
in the RPJ’s volleyball league. That year, I was approached to volunteer for the
chapter’s Meals on Wheels project. Being inspired by the project, I continued to
volunteer for many years until I was encouraged to take on a leadership role of
Membership Vice President and Treasurer in 2012. Finding great love, admiration and
dedication to the JCI organization, I have since been inspired to pursue multiple
leadership roles throughout my JCI career at the local, national and international levels.
I hold a master’s degree in healthcare administration and work as a compliance
coordinate for the largest healthcare system in Hawaii.

“The Junior Chamber creates positive change within the community and yourself. As I started to chair projects like Adopt-A-School day, Keiki Movie Day, and Spikes for Tykes volleyball fundraiser, I learned so much about my leadership skills and limitations.
Throughout my jaycee career, I am forever grateful for the mentors and friendships I have jained. I am truly blessed.”
