Why: To interact with the children of the community by playing games.

Background: The Honorary Mayor of Chinatown and D.B. Productions are holding a Family Fun Day at Cultural Plaza for the surrounding community. This is the first year that they are holding the event and they have requested for RPJ to hold a keiki game booth at the event.

We are looking for volunteers to help sell, tag the ducks, pour them into the Ala Wai Canal, and collect them at the end of the race. If you are able to help do one or all of these things, please contact immediately!

I mean… deciding on a beer at Honolulu Beer Works ( 328 Cooke St, Honolulu, HI 96813) on February 27th from 6-8pm. We’ll eat some food, pick a beer to brew, figure out if RPJ will fund, where we will brew, and when we will brew!

Spikes for Tykes

Rising Phoenix Jaycees (RPJ) is well-known throughout the community for its volleyall fundraisers. This year we are excited to announce that registration for the annual Spikes for Tykes Volleyball Tournament is open for registration! Please visit:www.spikesfortykes.orgfor more information

The funds from this years tournament will benefit Hoku Alaka’i, a non-profit organization that empower Hawai’ii’s keiki with cancer, survivors, and with chronic or serous medical issues by providing them access to their education and educational supports when they are unable to attend school on a regular basis. Happy Feet Volleyball Tournament

RPJ Charity Tournament to raise funds for Spikes for Tykes and shoe donations for school kids in need. 8 team co-ed tournament.

Date: Sunday, September 27th, 2015
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Aiea High School
Cost: $15/person
($10 if you bring a new or lightly wearable pair of athletic shoes, which will be donated to several different schools.)

UCPA Rubber Duckie Race
Date: Saturday, March 28, 2015
Time: TBA (Around 11AM – 1PM)
Location: McCully Shopping Center
Purpose: Help raise funds for the United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA)

Volunteer Opportunity: Prior to the event, we will be seeking duck adoptions.  On the day of the event, we will be helping on the bridge releasing the duckies, walking along the banks of the canal making sure no one takes a duck and gently nudge ducks who get stuck/stranded, and retrieve all the ducks from the canal when the race is over.
