Leadership Development Through Community Service

Recap of the First Trimester Convention

by Nathan Martin, Membership Development Vice President
Networking. Training. Knowledge. Fun. These are just a few adjectives that describe the experiences received during the Jaycees First Trimester Convention of 2012. Held at various locations from April 27-29, members were offered a plethora of knowledge and skills from guest speakers and other Jaycee members. It provided an opportunity for all the Hawaii Jaycees Chapters to come together to network, brainstorm ideas, and reconnect with the mission, vision, values, and goals of the Jaycees organization. Competitions were also held for Speak-Up and Write-Up. Being a new board member, I felt the convention was a great opportunity to find out more about the Jaycees and how the organization makes a positive impact to its members and the community. I recommend current and future members take the opportunity to attend these conventions and receive the same inspirational experience. Check out more pics after the break.
