Swinging into Spring

Congratulations to Stacie (center, with the envelope) and her teaammates for winning RPJ's first volleyball tournament of the year.

Six teams stepped onto the Halawa Gym court last night for RPJ’s Swinging into Spring Volleyball Tournament, the chapter’s first fundraiser of the year. Stacie Ito and her merry band won the tourney, which was organized by Eve Epitome, 2011 Executive VP Jay Yamamoto and 2011 Director-at-Large Roger Gumerman. 2011 Chapter President Anthony Higa couldn’t make it last night, but he donated Beach Body goodie bags to the first and second-place teams.
It was a great turnout despite the early morning tsunami scare that nearly kept the tourney off the court. Thankfully, the waves that hit our shores weren’t as powerful as the ones that battered Japan. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our neighbors across the Pacific.
Eve Epitome, Jay Yamamoto, and Roger Gumerman teamed up to put on a great tournament.
