Business_of_Business_Flyer thumbRPJ Management Vice President Rebecca Soon has assembled a well-regarded group of professionals to lead the chapter’s The Business of Business Professional Development Workshop Series, June 27th at the PATCH Conference Room in Dole Cannery. There are three planned workshops: Working in Teams & Making Teams Work, Effective Marketing & Brand Management, and Power Presenting. The workshop will cost $20 for jaycee members, $25 for everyone else, and group discounts are available. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the workshops running from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.. The teamwork workshop will be presented by Ka‘ala Souza, a renowned workplace consultant who will talk about the importance of teamwork and the cornerstone tenets for building strong teams. Participants will learn to identify the specific characteristics of effective and productive teams, the skills exhibited by leaders of excellent teams; understand the advantages and disadvantages of teams, and assess and evaluate your own team.
The marketing and branding workshop will be lead by Alfredo Garma, a designer with over 20 years of experience. Alfredo is one of Hawaii’s most prolific logo designers and has garnered numerous local and national awards for his advertising, illustration and graphic design work. He served as the president of AIGA’s (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Honolulu Chapter, and was also the Communications Chairperson and Public Service Chairperson for AD2 (Hawaii Advertising Federation).
