Good Times at the Living Room

Wednesday’s Membership Meeting Draws Large Turnout
Normally deals done down at a wharf involve the heavy-handed likes of a Tony Soprano, so leave it to the RPJ do-gooders to buck that stereotype and hold a get-together there. The April 8th General Membership Meeting at the Living Room on Fisherman’s Wharf drew 30 RPJ members and guests, including 2009 Hawaii Jaycees President Bobby Agpaoa, US Jaycees National Vice President Patrick Tomiyasu, and US Jaycees Ambassadors Irwin Nakasone and Lori “Kaj” Morikami. 2010 RPJ Board members reported on the Ala Wai Elementary School Store (a project born from last year’s Adopt-a-School event), the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawai‘i’s Rubber Duckie Race, and the Kaimuki Easter Egg Hunt.
New rules for the volleyball leagues were also discussed (which will be posted shortly), and two upcoming sports events were promoted: a New Member Volleyball League at Halawa, starting Wednesday, April 22nd, and a Coed Flag Football Game at Keehi Lagoon, 9:00 am, Saturday April 18th. Four members were also sworn in: Summer Duarte, Alex Chang, Roger Gumeran and Ryan Murabayashi. Thanks to the folks at the Living Room for the cool drinks, good food and for putting up with us. Check out more pics after the jump.
